Zane White
aka Black Gun
A new student at Hayley Page's school — originally the dark, mysterious, and edgy kid who became more open after befriending Hayley. His father blames him for the death of his mother, verbally abuses him, and struggles with alcoholism. Zane battles to find who he is, fighting darkness and depression. At school he is easily influenced and sometimes gives into a bad crowd.
History
As a child, Zane lost his mother to murder and became obsessed with criminology, swearing on her grave to find her killer. At 10 he began karate; by 14 he was the highest-ranked student in his class and earned his black belt. At 15, his school was involved in a shooting — he was the sole survivor. He decided to protect others and became the vigilante Black Gun, then moved to Miami. After losing his father to suicide he was placed in foster care, and eventually moved in with his girlfriend Cordiella Lionhart.
