Hermes Stillsoul

Hermes Stillsoul

Known across the realms by many titles — the Evolved One, the New All Father, the King of Magic, the God of Speed, the Greatest Thief in All the Realms — Hermes is regarded as the most powerful and feared being in existence. Obsessed with dark magic, he was banished to No Man's Land with his powers bound to it. His sole goal: escape with his power intact.

History

Hermes mastered black magic, blood magic, and blackblood magic, eventually becoming obsessed with their power and turning to evil. The All Father sentenced him to death, but Hermes defeated him and was instead banished to No Man's Land — a realm he cannot leave — with his magic bound to the land itself so he could never harm anyone again. After years of searching for a way out, Hermes devised a solution: the Mad Hatter's hat, capable of storing enough magical energy to destroy the binding spell. Because he cannot use his own tied magic to break the spell and cannot leave to retrieve the hat himself, he used his flute to summon Ariel — a mermaid who can travel freely between realms — and manipulated her into bringing it to him. He has since crafted a spell that allows others to enter No Man's Land but not leave, so he can steal their power and store it in the hat, slowly building toward his escape.
