Nemesis
aka Goddess of Revenge
Born without remorse or mercy, Nemesis believed that criminals deserved death and dispensed justice accordingly — killing those she deemed guilty. Zeus punished her repeatedly, and when she refused to stop, he placed a curse upon her that slowly kills her. She now searches for a successor with "true hatred in their heart" to carry on her brand of vengeance.
History
Nemesis was born without any sense of remorse or mercy. As a child she was sent away by her mother Hera. She devoted herself to justice — but her justice meant execution. She hunted criminals and killed them, believing they deserved to die. Zeus disagreed with her methods and punished her often, but she never understood his objection. She felt she was doing what others lacked the will to do. When Zeus forbade her from killing again, she ignored him and shifted her focus to making wrongdoers suffer and helping others seek revenge — calling it all Justice. She became known as the goddess of revenge. When Zeus discovered this he cursed her, intending it to force a change of heart. The curse began killing her slowly, feeding on her refusal to learn. Rather than relent, she channeled her remaining time into searching for a worthy successor — someone with true hatred in their heart who could take her place and continue dispensing vengeance on those who wrong others.
