Born a month early — an "August miracle" — August grew up with a singular dream: to become a photojournalist like his largely absent father. He spent his entire childhood working toward that goal, and after graduating he traveled the world pursuing his father and his career, ultimately being pulled into the world of I Told You They Were Real.
History
August's parents were always working, leaving him largely on his own from a young age. At 6 he became obsessed with his father's work as a photojournalist and begged to be taught. His father eventually agreed and showed him how to use a camera, sparking a lifelong dedication. From age 6 to 21, August threw himself into photography classes, research, and practice — all to become just like his father. After high school he graduated and set out as a photojournalist, traveling the world in search of both his career and his father.
