Volunteer With Us
Every cooking class we teach, every event we run, every life we touch — none of it happens without people who care enough to show up. If that sounds like you, we want to meet you.
Why It Matters
Your Time Changes Lives
For someone struggling with anxiety, depression, or hopelessness, a simple cooking class can be the first moment in a long time that they feel capable. Your presence — patient, encouraging, and present — makes that possible.
Volunteers are the heart of Make A Grilled Cheese. They bring warmth to our kitchen, energy to our events, and hope to the people we serve.
- No professional experience required

Ways to Help
Volunteer Roles
Whether you cook, organize, photograph, or just show up with a positive attitude, there is a place for you here.
Cooking Class Facilitator
Lead or assist in our hands-on cooking classes. No professional chef experience required — just patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help others find confidence at the stove.
Event Support
Help set up, run, and break down our community events. From community cook-alongs to awareness gatherings, every event runs better with caring hands on deck.
Community Outreach
Help us reach the individuals and families who need us most. Share our programs, connect with community partners, and spread the word about the healing power of cooking.
Administrative Support
Keep the foundation running smoothly behind the scenes. Help with communications, scheduling, data entry, grant research, or other operational tasks.
Photography & Content
Document our programs and tell our story visually. Help us capture the moments of joy, connection, and accomplishment that happen every time someone finishes a meal.
