Zackary's Dad
Make A Grilled Cheese was founded by Daniel in memory of his son, Zackary.
Like many parents, Daniel has spent countless hours wondering if there was something more he could have done—one more conversation, one more shared experience, one more opportunity to connect. While he cannot change the past, he can choose what he does moving forward.
The idea for Make A Grilled Cheese grew from a simple realization: cooking teaches much more than how to prepare food. It teaches patience, planning, problem-solving, creativity, resilience, and the confidence that comes from accomplishing something one step at a time. When life feels overwhelming, cooking reminds us that even the most complicated things can be broken down into manageable pieces.
Daniel created the foundation so others might discover those lessons before they need them most. His hope is that every class provides more than a recipe—it provides practical life skills, meaningful human connection, and the confidence that comes from creating something with your own hands. If someone leaves believing they are capable of tackling one more challenge than they thought they could, then the foundation has accomplished exactly what it set out to do.
Every meal prepared, every skill learned, and every moment shared honors Zackary's memory and reflects the belief that sometimes the smallest actions can become the beginning of something much bigger.
